The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education and the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two sides through programs and initiatives that can be collaborated in, in a manner that translates the wise leadership guidelines on caring for this category and providing an environment that stimulates creativity, leadership and innovation in the future.
This came when Sanaa Suhail, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, received a delegation from the General Secretariat of the Award, headed by Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary – General of the Khalifa Award for Education. The delegation included Dr. Louay Jeroudi, Advisor to The Khalifa International Award for Early Learning, Dr. Jana Fleming, and Fatima Al Bastaki, members of the awarding committee for Khalifa International Award for Early Learning. The meeting was attended by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority: His Excellency Engineer Thamer Al Qasimi, Executive Director of the Special Projects and Partnerships Sector, His Excellency Dr. Yousef Alhammadi, Executive Director of the Knowledge and Entrepreneurship Sector, Dr. Hessa Al Kaabi, Director of the Executive Affairs Office, and Dr. Mira Al Kaabi, a volunteer in the knowledge and leadership sector, and Ibrahim Al-Harbi, a workforce specialist in the early childhood sector.
Sana Suhail launched the meeting praising the efforts of the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education in raising the level of participation in research and studies in supporting and developing a qualitative early education sector based on scientific evidence and best international practices. This award urges specialists and workers in this field to adopt a culture of innovation in early education, and to advance their various educational, pedagogical, and developmental capabilities. Moreover, it empowers them through the design of the best programs and curricula, and the development of innovative educational methodologies and modern teaching methods that keep pace with the aspirations of the wise leadership in raising generations and preparing them for the next fifty years.
Sana Suhail presented the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Development Strategy 2035 to the delegation and viewed its objectives and strategic programs. She addressed as well as the Authority’s efforts to develop an integrated system that supports policy formulation, service delivery and the adoption of effective practices to ensure that all children receive high-quality early care and education services. The main goal here is to enable them in adopting strong values, enhancing their capabilities, and building a foundation that ensures their learning and prosperity throughout their lives. The delegation was also briefed on the most prominent elements of the Authority’s institutional culture, its values, and the most important practices that made it a fruitful environment based on cooperation, participation and initiative, while attracting various competencies and talents.
